Now looking forward to the 12th Working Connections ICT Faculty Development Institute, Tuesday, August 24-Thursday, 26, 2010 will bring Washington State community and technical college (CTC) information, computing and business faculty together on the Bellevue College campus to participate for an intensive three-day professional development training period. This immersion experience offers them in-depth, hands-on labs and lecture sessions in the latest iterations of software and hardware applications that industry wants CTC graduates to be ready to use upon graduation, or be gaining expertise in as they move on to a four-year degree. There are also opportunities to network, share best practices, and hear industry experts address attendees during lunch-time presentations.
The original Working Connections Institute continues in offering affordable, professional development training opportunities for our faculty so we can prepare our students to enter the workforce and complete their four-year degree.
Over the last 11 years, Working Connections has had over 1,100 attendees. This means that for the average three quarters each faculty person teaches three courses each quarter, and has an average of 20 students per classroom, Working Connections has impacted the educational experience of 198,000 students over the last 11 years.
