Washington State Community & Technical College Health IT Initiative

The purpose of the WA CTC Health IT collaborative workspace for stakeholders in Washington’s ARRA health IT workforce development effort.

The Washington Health Care Authority (HCA) named Bellevue College the Lead Organization for state ARRA Health IT initiatives covered under Section 3016 of the HITECH ACT, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  Activities can include curricula development, student recruitment and retention, equipment aquisition,  & community college – university bridge prorgrams. This designation does not carry funding, but allows Bellevue College to act as the sole entity in Washington to collaborate with the on these issues with the HCA.  The purpose of a Lead Organization is optimize state ARRA health IT efforts, and enable rapid response to federal funding opportunities.
