Center of Excellence Impact Report

Washington State’s 12 Centers of Excellence (opens in a new window) serve as statewide liaisons to business, industry, labor and the education system, providing support for economic and workforce development. Hosted by community colleges throughout Washington’s statewide system, each Center works closely with one of the state’s major industry sectors to build a talented workforce, facilitate meaningful partnerships with community and technical colleges, and act as a resource hub for our partners.

Throughout the 2021-2022 academic year, Centers helped colleges launch new programs, strengthened career pathways, addressed implicit bias in workforce education, and connected students to hands-on learning opportunities.
